We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who took the time and courage to participate in the TTR Community Healing & Reconciliation Brigade held on February 11, 12, and 13, 2026.
We begin by honouring our Elders, knowledge keepers, and survivors whose presence, strength, and guidance grounded this work. Your leadership ensured that these three days were rooted in truth, culture, and care.
The TTR Community Healing & Reconciliation Brigade was a three-day initiative built on the foundations of truth, healing, and hope. It was created to address historical injustices, foster understanding, and promote unity within and among our community members. At its core, the Brigade focused on creating pathways for healing, restoring relationships, and rebuilding trust among people who continue to live with the lasting impacts of the Indian Residential School System.
Those impacts did not end when the schools closed. They continue to manifest as anger, violence, trauma, grief, and despair, often carried across generations. The Brigade acknowledged this reality and created a safe space to confront it together with honesty, compassion, and respect.
We are deeply grateful to the Future Generations Foundation and to TTR Chief & Council for their leadership and financial support. Their commitment to healing, reconciliation, and community well-being made these three days possible.
